Extractions
In the most extreme or necessary cases, teeth are recommended for extraction. Teeth are extracted for a number of different reasons but always as a last resort when restoration or a good long term prognosis can’t be provided. For instance, teeth may be extracted because the tooth has fractured and is unrestorable, the roots are damaged beyond repair, gum and bone structure surronding the tooth is periodontally hopeless, acute or chronic abscess where root canal therapy is not a viable treatment option. At our office it is always our goal to keep patient’s teeth healthy and functioning, but at times of loss we can discuss replacement of missing teeth with implants, bridges or dentures.
